 Part of LIC’s corporate ethos is to ensure a balance is struck between work and home life. We recognise that sport, entertainment, recreation, and a love for the outdoors is an inherent part of being a New Zealander.
It is for that reason that we choose to sponsor domestic rugby – a game we’re confident our farming customers and shareholders have a special affinity with, no matter what province they choose to work, play, and live in.
Waikato is a traditional power-house of dairying in New Zealand, and because of this LIC has always valued its close association with the province. With our headquarters based in Hamilton (employing staff of more than 400), we believe in the importance of gaining positive exposure in the local community.
We believe Waikato rugby – which has a reputation for being passionate, loyal, and dynamic – serves as a good vehicle for LIC to maintain its brand awareness throughout rural New Zealand.
Teamwork and innovation are just two of the features for which the Waikato rugby side is renown. It’s no coincidence that these same attributes contribute to LIC’s ongoing success.
The LIC logo is displayed on the Mooloo jersey and the Mooloo mascot is utilised at LIC Fieldays.
