LIC now offers dairy farmers an inexpensive means of monitoring bovine viaral diarrhoea (BVD) disease within a herd. The BVD Monitoring Pack provides a package of tests conducted over the milking season using samples from the milk vat.

All you need to do is sign up and provide your preferred test dates.  There is no sample collection hassle as LIC arranges to re-use sampels already being collected by your dairy company.  You can carry on with your day-to-day farm operations and leave the testing to us.

A2*

Milking cows naturally produce a protein in their milking - beta-casein, which comes in two variants, A1 and A2.  GeneMark offers an A2 production gene test to identify whether a particular animal carries the specific A2 beta-casein gene. Click here to find out more.
